Has 2017 Been Tough, Why Me? Here Are Five (5) Scriptures To Help You Believe God For Greater In The New Year

You may have faced all kinds of trials and tribulations this year, but that doesn’t mean that better things aren’t coming. Keep believing!

We are mere days away from 2018. This is cause of celebration for many people, but some of us have been so worn down by the problems that pervaded 2017, that we’ve given up on looking to the future with faith.

But in order to receive all God has for you in the coming year, you must believe for greater things. Here are Five (5) scriptures organized by Buzz Naija Radio to bolster your faith going into 2018.

#1 Hebrews 11:1 (KJV)- “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” Even when God’s hand in your life becomes hard to see, you must have faith! Remember that all things work together for the good of the one who believes in the Lord (Romans 8:28).

#2 Hebrews 11:6 (KJV)- “But without faith it is impossible to please him; for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.” You can’t hope for blessings without believing in the One who gives them out. Furthermore, have faith that God's perfect will, will be accomplished and that the coming year will be better than the last.

#3 James 1:6-8 (ESV)- “But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea that is driven and tossed by the wind. For that person must not suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord; he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways.” When you ask the Lord for something, whatever it may be, believe that He will give you what you asked for. You can’t believe for a blessing while simultaneously doubting that it will happen. The wind of doubt will not be able to knock you down if your faith is founded on the Rock.

#4 Mark 11:24 (NIV)- “Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.” Pray in confidence. Every act of God in your life does not have to be a miracle. But when you ask your Father for great things in faith, every blessing will be an expectation instead of a surprise.

#5 Psalm 37:4-5 (ESV)- “Delight yourself in the LORD, and he will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your ways to him, and he will act.” Last and certainly not least, blessings are the reward of a good and faithful servant. If your will aligns with the will of God, you will never have to worry about having your request rejected. God is good to those who seek His Kingdom above all else (Matthew 6:33).

Have faith for the New Year.

Rejoice that God is for you and not against you. In 2018, you may face troubles, but none will overshadow the goodness that the Lord is going to pour into your life.
